User-Created Content Fragments

A news site's users/readers are the real key to becoming a rich data source. Unfortunately many sites focus on complete compositions, through reviews, letters to the editors, and guest columns. However, many readers have something to contribute, but are unable or unwilling to invest enough resources to write a full composition.

Fragments that round out existing compositions should be encouraged. Expansion and small steps are sometimes all that is necessary to be a better source.

As an easy first step, readers should be able to update their business listings, add different points of views to a point-counterpoint, or quick opinions about a restaurant/recipe/movie.
